Unequal distribution of national resources and inequalities in access to and control of such resources has been one of the key factors of conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC). Decentralisation of government was identified as one of the ways through which the Congolese people can address the underlying causes of conflict in the DRC and achieve an improved quality of life. This book explores not only challenges rose to achieve equal distribution of resources in the DRC, a country deeply affected by years of wars and mismanagement, but also the ways forward for a sustainable democracy in the DRC.
