Today the quality of the product is gauged not by the macro parameters but by the micro parameters of quality such as presence of at very low concentration levels of parts per million and below.In the work which has been presented here, the authors have tried to use the state-of-the-art analytical techniques to develop and validate analytical methods for determination of some of the toxic residues in certain consumer products of everyday use. The work has multifarious utility for several stake holders such as the i) raw material producers & suppliers ii) manufacturers of various products iii) the regulatory agencies & policy makers.
