The present study develops a multi-agent system which can detect objects in a structured or unstructured environment based on some given information about an object. Developing a multi-agent robotics system which consists of number of identical robots, NXT Mindstrorm, each controlled by identical agent-based software is required. It is required to adopt a suitable design for the proposed NXT robot for a number of robots too. This multi-robot system should be advanced enough to: navigate around, communicate with other robots, pick-up objects, and returned them back home. The software controlling the robots must be agent-based, and be able to run on the robots itself. A server to control the actions of each robot in the multi-robot system is required to be used here. This work aims to explore the existing multi-robot systems for detecting objects based multi-agent technology.
