After 25 years of playing golf, mostly as a single, Par-Man has accumulated quite a collection of stories about the characters who roam the links. Par-Man has one mission; a round at par or better. If that looks like it won't happen for Par-Man, then he is obligated to help the others in the group achieve golf immortality. Autorenporträt
I did not take up golf until I was in my early forties. Kids and their activities came first. Then, suddenly they were gone. The wife said that I needed to find something to do that would keep me out of trouble. Translation: she wanted some quiet time. My brother golfed and he and my dad got me going. Like so many other weekend hackers I've had a lesson or two, but mostly I learned by trial and error. Like 10% trial and 90% error. It has been a wonderful journey and I have met some wonderful people. In the spirit of full disclosure, Par-Man has a hole-in-one and a double eagle. And twice I have been at par or under. It took about 1800 rounds to achieve those milestones.
