Emily Bordine is a Portland, OR based author/mom who writes children's books which aim to teach, inspire and entertain her young readers. She combines her unique life experiences, education and work with children to create memorable stories that stick with you. Emily believes that if you dream for something, you owe it to yourself and the world to express it. She lives by the mantra, "forgotten dreams are lost opportunities" and that caffeine is necessary for survival. A member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and a participant in the 12x12 Challenge, she is busily building her portfolio as a freelance writer and children's book author while balancing three jobs, the perils of Kindergarten and being pet mom to four fuzzy "writing assistants". Emily is a dreamer and a doer just like her characters. She believes that everyone has a purpose and once it's tapped into, mountains can be moved.
