Goats are socio-economically important for smallholder farmers in the pastoral area of Ethiopia. Mastitis is the most serious factor affecting milk quality and quantity in the country. There are quiet a lot of studies on bovine mastitis while few studies deal with mastitis in goats in the country. This book assesses goat husbandry practices, determines the occurrence of mastitis and the quality of milk as influenced by the occurrence of mastitis. This assessment will help the farmers to have awareness of the causes mastitis in Awash Fentale Woreda of the Afar Regional State.
