The most important achieved results in the research are: First Al-Safra activated clay by using sodium carbonate at ratio wt% (5%) with the additives (alumina and magnesia) underwent firing temperature at(1300 ºC) without any distortion in the appearance and gave the maximum compressive strength to (60.41 MPa), which is higher than of the bentonite (as a based material, of about 8.47 MPa). Second: Qara Tappah activated bentonite by using ratios of Na2CO3 at (5% and 7.5%) showed an undergoing to the heat treatment to 1400 ºC without any distortion and shrinkage in dimensions and best value of the thermal conductivity as a thermal insulator which was (0.039 W/m.K).
