Elizabeth Drelichman grew up on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, surrounded by trees and plants. She has always felt a connection to the environment and a desire to convey this through her writing. A human biology major at Stanford, she is interested in both public health and environmental health. She wrote Billie's Backyard Zoo for a senior project in high school, with the intention of illustrating the importance of environmental education. Elizabeth wants to show everyone the importance of learning about the environment and establishing a respectful relationship with it. She is going into her junior year of college and is looking forward to growing even more as a student, a scientist, and a writer.
