W. W. Norton is excited to announce that award-winning authors Elizabeth Phelps and Elliot Berkman will bring their ideas and energy to Psychological Science 7e. The Norton Illumine Ebook can be assigned for points and includes New interactive "Red Q" Check Your Understanding questions with real-time answer-specific feedback, plus a new 3D brain that uses active learning to master challenging neurological processes. Looking beyond the text, Liz and Elliot applied their experience with the introductory psychology course to all aspects of the teaching and learning tools, including InQuizitive's adaptive assessment, new ZAPS 3.0 interactive labs with instructor support and a hands-on approach to visualizing brain science through a new interactive 3D brain. They are committed to introducing students to a more modern view of the field-one that shows the real-world impact of psychology and showcases the work of diverse researchers throughout.

Autorenporträt
Elizabeth Phelps is Pershing Square Professor of Human Neuroscience at Harvard University. Her lab- The Human Neuroscience of Affect, Learning, and Decision Making-researches the ways that emotions color our lives, in that even subtle, everyday variations in our emotional experience can alter our thoughts and actions. By uncovering the impact of emotion and affect on cognition, she aims to both enhance the understanding of cognition broadly and provide insights into social processes and psychological disorders. Phelps has won many research awards, most recently the prestigious George Miller Prize in Cognitive Neuroscience. She has served as president of the Association for Psychological Science, the Social and Affective Neuroscience Society, and the Society for Neuroeconomics.
