The experiment on performance of papaya in plastic mulch was carried out at Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, JAU, Junagadh during September to December (2016). Two variety of papaya, Madhubindu and Taiwan were grown under different plastic mulch (silver black plastic mulch, & black plastic mulch) and no mulch condition. Experimental design was selected as Randomized Block Design with four replications. Crop water requirement was determined by Penman-Monteith method. Soil parameter like soil moisture, soil temperature and crop parameter like plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of flowers and number of fruits were observed at an interval of 30 days. Economics of each treatment was also calculated.
