Education is a basic human right and a necessity in life. It has been perceived as a key to national development and individuals' self-advancement. The manifestation of poverty and strategies to eradicate it has been one of the greatest challenges at global, regional and national levels. This book uses Abraham Maslow in his Hierarchy of needs model of 1954 in United States of America to investigate the influence of socio-economic status of parents on the pupils' participation in primary schools in Getembe Division of Kisii Central District.
