Fatima Salahuddin, is an individual like so many out there with ambitions and goals to one day see brought to life. She is an aspiring author trying to make a name for herself, despite the fact that she is not the only author out there who is trying to make her writing more than just words on paper, but rather a masterpiece for readers to enjoy time and again. She also tackles that mountain of aspiring authors like herself knowing that she might get rejected not only because her writing may not be what the publisher is looking for, but also because she is a young lady who covers her outwardly appearance in a way that her society does not understand; yes Fatima Salahuddin is a Muslim. She is a Muslim who like so many, have an undying thirst for writing yet she in many ways is not amongst the norm in her society which in the eyes of the readers should ignite their desire to unveil this "mysterious" author with an uncommon name. Fatima Salahuddin is an African American Muslimah who grew up in Houston, TX. She spent most of her childhood in different parts of the Middle East. From middle all the way until college she spent in the U.S. finishing public school and moving forward into her degree as a Pre-K teacher. It wasn't until her early twenties that she noticed her talent in poetry and short stories and by the encouragement of others began taking her writing seriously. Fatima Salahuddin is a writer of mystery, allowing her readers to pick apart and investigate her words in order to put together the pieces to the puzzle. She wants her readers to explore the author's thought process and meaning behind what is written. This is the type of reading she wants to share with everyone through her writing because in her words "reading an author's writing is meant for the readers to explore".
