Participation has an important place in adult education researches. Adults' participation reasons to any course and underlying motives to participate in have been the subject of lots of researches. Adults are mainly involved in the educational activities for social and professional reasons. In Turkey, the purpose of the teacher certification program is to train young adults continuing or graduated from an undergraduate educational programme to teach in secondary education. This study aimed to determine motivational orientations and teacher perceptions of student teachers participated in teacher certification program.
