Here we introduce the development examples of Fe- and Co-based amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys with unique morphologies such as wire, flaky powder and spherical particle and Fe-C base amorphous steels with new alloy compositions, in conjunction with their applications.

Prof. A. Inoue received his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Tohoku University in 1975. He is a member of the Japan Academy, Foreign Member of the U.S.A. National Academy of Engineering. He has been recognized by ISI as first in worldwide ranking of highly cited authors in materials science and engineering fields for 1998¿2008.
