Autorenporträt
Fareeda A. Washington was born and raised in Wyandotte County, the inner city of Kansas City, KS. Growing up she found solace in playing basketball, reading, and writing. These things would become instrumental in helping her through some of the most difficult times in her life. Early on she would develop a passion for poetry which was a tool to help usher in her healing, while also honing her skills as a writer. Fareeda's inspiration for writing comes from experiencing and observing life through her unique lens. Her voice is a catalyst that evokes hope and inspiration for anyone who is determined to overcome the unexpected, sometimes self-inflicted, struggles in life. When Fareeda is not writing she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new restaurants, and watching action movies.
