Istanbul is one of the important metropolises in the world, which has seen a rapid urban growth and improvement in the quality of life during the last 20 years. Beylikduzu was an untouched land in Istanbul city until recently. It has gone through a fast urban development last two decades. The city has become a significant settlement with modern side of the city. This study overlooks the concept of "livability" in Beylikduzu in terms of education, health and security.

Faruk Sar¿usta has completed his MA degree in Fatih University, Geography Department in 2013. He has started his doctoral program in Istanbul University, Geography Department at the same year. He focuses on rapid urbanization and livability concepts.
