This book analyzes the challenges, successes and failures encountered in setting up and implementing a telemedicine pilot program in Ethiopia between 2004 and 2006, comparing its outcome with the ones of other similar projects in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) through a literature review, and it provides possible recommendations for developing telemedicine strategies in countries with limited resources.
Autorenporträt
The Author is a medical doctor by profession, who has degree of doctor of medicine from Addis Ababa university and postgraduate education in tropical disease and public health from Swiss Tropical Institute,and Institute of Tropical Medicine from Belgium respectively. He is pioneer in implementing telemedicine project in Ethiopia from 2004 to 2006.
