Felix Dario Mendoza est né dans un village montagneux situé à la campagne dans la province de La Vega, en République dominicaine. Sur les instructions de sa grand-mère Eudosia Diaz, il a été conçu comme LE NARRATEUR DE LÉGENDES. Sa grand-mère pratiquait la médecine naturelle et était une sage-femme ou (Comadrona) couvrant le territoire de Guaigui, Bella Vista, Guarey et Pinar Sucio. La grand-mère a découvert le talent de Mendoza quand il avait sept ans. Il a utilisé l'humour dans son récit pour divertir la famille élargie. Mendoza a émigré aux États-Unis d'Amérique où il a travaillé comme professeur d'études sociales et professeur de langues étrangères. Mendoza a été éducateur pendant plus de trente ans. Il a travaillé pendant vingt ans comme professeur auxiliaire au Bronx Community College (CUNY). Il est également l'auteur de: MARINA DELA CRUZ: X-RAY of an Immigrant, LA HISPANIOLA: The Kingdom of the Zombi, THE INFINITIVE CAVE OF GUARINA CAMUY: Indigenous novella, and THE BLOWING OF THE DRAGON: The rise and fall of a world empire.
