Frances Harrison, affectionately known as Fran, was born and raised in a loving, Christian home in Valdosta, GA, where she received the sacrament of baptism at the age of 12. After graduating high school, Frances earned her bachelor's degree from Chicago State University, associate degree from Kennedy-King College, and certification as a respiratory therapist from the Medical Careers Institute of Chicago. Afforded many professional opportunities, Frances was the first female attendant for Harrington Funeral Home in her hometown, she served as a dental assistant to a Doctor of Dental Surgery, bank teller, elementary school teacher, daycare owner, and later author of Profound & Transformative Truths: Christian Women Share Their Stories of Living God's Word in the Real-World, written with women of the Chatham-Avalon Church of Christ Ladies' Ministry, in Chicago, IL. Frances has always, and continues to live a life of service. For many years, she held the position of assistant coordinator for the Chicago Area National Dinner Day, and later took the reigns as coordinator, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Christian education. Frances also worked for seventeen years as the chairperson of the Bowser Associated Women at Work for Southwestern Christian College (SWCC); an endeavor that is near and dear to her heart to this day. Frances Harrison is a faithful woman of God, standing by, and supporting her husband of 57 years, Dr. Daniel Harrison, Sr. Minister of the Chatham-Avalon Church of Christ, and leader and orchestrator of the national Crusade for Christ movement. She is the mother of two sons, Darrell (wife LaTrice) and Dexter, and the grandmother of Tyrone, who affectionately refers to her as Honey Harrison. Through her devotion, Frances Harrison has enriched the lives of so many, and has brought numerous souls to Christ.
