an attempt to reveal how the education of a
particular foreign school influences graduates

in that regard, the Deutsche-Schule-Istanbul (DSI),
is located in Beyo lu, Istanbul. The
current study is an attempt to find out how the
DSI s socialization influences its graduates
career choice and to reconstruct the interdependence
of the relevant influencing
factors within the theoretical framework of activity
theory.
Autorenporträt
Fulya Damla Kentli studied Sociology of Education in Johann
Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. She completed her
PhD in Department of Education Science in Hamburg Universität.
Her research focuses on factors in hidden curriculum and career
choice, particularly the issues relating to foreign and private
schools in Turkey.
