Many varieties were developed in South India. This book "Production Technology of Drumstick (Moringa oleifera Lam) fulfils the long felt need of the book. It covers various aspects of production technology gathered from different sources and is presented in a simple and comprehensive manner. The information presented in this book will be quite useful for students, teachers, researchers and finally and principally to the enthusiastic moringa farmers and those farmers who intend to take up moringa farming in future.

R. Sri Hari Babu, joined A.P. Agricultural University as Horticulture Assistant at College of Agriculture, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh in 1972. Promoted as Associate Professor in 1982 and as Senior Scientist (Professor) in 1989, worked at Bapatla, Kodur, Hyderabad, Sangareddy and Tirupati at various capacities and retired as Professor & Head, Dept. of Horticulture and Associate Dean (Principal), S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh in 2005. The total service put in is 33 years including Ph.D. studies, of which 16 years is in research at Bapatla, Kodur and Sanga Reddy, and 17 years in teaching at Hyderabad and Tirupati. He did research mainly in citrus, mango, guava, cashew and Ber. He is the life member of eight Professional Horticulture Societies in India. Published 60 research papers, more than 100 popular articles in Telugu, contributed chapters on citrus etc. in package of practices for horticulture crops by Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Handbook of Horticulture, ICAR, New Delhi. Recipient of "Life Time Achievement Award" in 2006 and "Best Member" Award in 2018 of Indian Society of Citriculture by Indian Society of Citriculture, Nagpur, India.
