Teachers¿ research engagement has been proposed as a way to professional development in the field of teacher education. This trend has spread to pre-service teacher education departments world-wide and instructed by academics most of who are unfortunately, unaware of or distant to the real challenges teachers experience. So, the contents of courses focusing on teacher research in education faculties are open to questioning because of being formal and stuck in the boundaries of academic rules. Additionally, the field has been provided with many books written to advice teachers about how and why to engage in research. However, the extent the writers¿ engagement in teacher-research themselves and their knowledge regarding the possible difficulties are still of concern. As a result of all these issues in mind, this book bounds theory and practice which makes it distinctive.
