East Godavari district is high endemic area in Andhrapradesh, India. Among 52 lacs of population in the district 15436 cases in and around annually reported. So there is a need to find out the relation between socio-demographic characteristics and morbidity profile among reported filarial cases.The cases are more reported in weaver's community and stagnant water sources. so i have opted this topic to study.

I Joined as a P.H.C medical officer in 1990 continued in the same profession up to 2007,In 2007 joined as a district filarial officer till 2010. During 2010-2013 post graduation in MD Community Medicine. In 2013 joined as a PODTT to East Godavari District
