The Tao of Mindful Being is for those who desire and strive to be and to mindfully live within each moment upon this wonderful earth. My hope is that you read this book the way I sometimes, most times, read books. Open it up, flip to a page, read a sentence or two, and think and reflect and meditate upon it. Thats all . . . nothing more. Thats all.

Autorenporträt
Konrad unknowingly began his Bodhisattva journey at age nine. He looked up at the third-floor window of the Mt. Vernon Hospital, where his dad was a patient. Unbeknownst to him this would be the last time he saw his dad alive. He waved to him in recognition but did not get to say "I love you." From then on, his unconscious focus has been-and still is-trying to mindfully, lovingly, and compassionately remain within each moment. Konrad is currently a student of Thich Nhat Hanh in the Plum Village tradition and a member of the Compassionate Heart Sangha in Encinitas, California. He regularly shares meditation with the inmates at California's R. J. Donovan State Correctional Facility.
