The Author: Korina M. Jocson is an assistant professor in education, arts and sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. She studies the changing nature of literacies, media technologies, and pedagogies across educational contexts. In her research and teaching, Jocson has collaborated with university programs, schools, and community-based organizations that intertwine youth cultural production and literacy development. She received her Ph.D. in education in the area of language, literacy, and culture at the University of California, Berkeley, and completed her postdoctoral work at Stanford University School of Education.
