Kate's story is centred around her journey in Nepal and the Earthquake of 2015. In this book, she shares her losses, ideals, thoughts and her experience of falling in love again. An honest book about rediscovering the parts of herself lost long ago. The second chances that arise from sacrifice, being courageous and the growth that follows. She discusses the challenges and fascination of learning about a new culture, being a mother in a modern world, following her heart and the lessons learnt along the way. For all those who didn't give up the good fight……I see you. "Fortunately, some are born with spiritual immune systems that sooner or later give rejection to the illusory worldview grafted upon them from birth through social conditioning. They begin sensing that something is amiss and start looking for answers. Inner knowledge and anomalous outer experiences show them a side to reality others are oblivious to, and so begins their journey of awakening. Each step of the journey is made by following the heart instead of following the crowd and by choosing knowledge over the veils of ignorance." -Henri Bergson.
Autorenporträt
Through experiences that challenge and take us out of the mundane, we know change happens, despite if we want it to or not. When we align our values, actions and soul, this feeling is our dharma. In other words, heart centred living. It is in this space the challenges and changes you go through start to have purpose. However this does not mean it will be easy, courage and faith are needed more than ever as our fears lay in the shadows. Kate has a background in coaching, holistic health practices and currently supports and guides people to live their dharma through a variety of mediums including treks to Nepal and local retreats and workshops. Her debut novel "Following Dharma" is a story of reflection and self-discovery.
