Katie Crawford Allen is a professional artist inspired by narrative's power to connect people. Combining a degree in anthropology with a love of art, she has spent her career producing work in which the wonder of childhood and the wisdom of adulthood can coexist. Her North Carolina studio is full of antique bits and bobs, two dogs, and lots of low-maintenance plants. If she isn't there, paintbrush and tea cup in hand, she's probably out roaming the long leaf pine forests with her husband, playing paparazzi to the bugs, snails, and mushrooms.
