The utility of alternative fuels has become mandatory in view of exhausting fossil fuels as well as obnoxious primary & secondary pollutant that is emanated by the combustion of fossil fuels for energy requirement. The onset of biofuels replacing the utility of fossil fuels have shown to address risky effects that are consequent from the environment eco-friendliness & compatibility of biofuels compared to fossil fuels. The present book work was carried with an intention of primarily keeping the quality of environment with an objective of waste vegetable oil utilization, minimal & harmful exhaust pollutants. The economic viability of the biofuel was yet another objective. The technology of conversion of waste vegetable oil was carried out following the transesterification reaction with fine-tuning of sodium methoxide catalyst governed by Design of Experiments software. The estimation of free fatty acid in the raw stock of waste vegetable oil content proved to be one of the principalsteps prior to transesterification. Thus the study facilitated good yield of two products namely biodiesel (99%) & glycerol (87.5%) from the point of utility and economics in the application.
