Kayla Spain was raised in Newcastle, surrounded by siblings, friends, and pets of all types: a dog, a cat, budgies, a galah, silkworms, mice, and even a sheep. Her childhood was spent playing outside; a true gift she will never take for granted. Today, she still adores nature and animals, and has many feathered friends who daily visit her yard to sing to her - and maybe get a treat in return. Her family are her world, and she has recently become a grandma to "the most beautiful little girl". Kayla is a passionate advocate of the random and ridiculous and believes that laughter really is the best medicine for any ailment this modern life throws at us. She has always enjoyed creative pursuits and, one morning, she woke with an idea. "I might write a novel". A few months later it become a reality. She believes that anyone can create magic, no matter who they are. Just sit still and listen. Kayla encourages other artists to follow their dreams: "If you are passionate about something, you will achieve it, no matter how hard it is, or however long it takes".
