Ed Vieira has written textbooks and children's picture books. As a professor, he has extensively studied children's reading, learning, and what motivates kids to read. The lively and expressive illustrations are created by Boston-based illustrator and graphic designer Kaitlyn Ripaldi. Her business, YellowLeaf Design, provides design work, branding and promotional materials for value-driven businesses with a particular interest in outdoor recreation-based projects.
