Autorenporträt
Kaitlyn Terrey, known by most of her friends and family as Kate, is an illustrator, writer and poet whose two writing modes are deep and thought-provoking or pure satire, with absolutely nothing in between. These two extremes perhaps mimic Kate's perspective on life as an arduous experience, in which there is still humor to be found in almost everything. Kate holds a bachelor's degree in digital design and animation, as well as a master's degree in illustration. She dreams of working in visual development for animation or themed entertainment one day, but also enjoys her current work in children's illustration. She is a self-described globetrotter, having been to Europe five times, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, most of the fifty States, and spent several months in Australia in 2017, an experience which continues to serve as one of her greatest sources of artistic inspiration. "Goodnight Honey" is a book that represents a big piece of Kate's heart, and an important message to children and adults alike that the loved ones we've lost are always with us in spirit. All we have to do is look up.
