Kally Bougadis is an educator who specializes in serving and empowering children classified with emotional disturbances. Her mission is to bridge the gap between special education and general education students through creativity and imagination, which is at the heart of every child regardless of classification. She uses the arts and fun techniques to engage the experience from one of struggle to striving in the learning process. This book was inspired by one of her students, Kai Williams, who was struggling in math. She wrote the book to support all learners who find math challenging and to teach fundamentals in a fun, easy way. Her commitment is that this book inspires educators to return to the roots of education--- educare, to "bring forth what is within." Kally holds a BA in Psychology from Queens College, a dual Masters in Special Education & Reading from St. John's University and a Building and School Leadership certificate from the college of St. Rose. She also serves as a School Board member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. She is the founder of SchoolCare Foundation, which provides resources for Special Education children with emotional needs.
