This prayer is read at the completion of the Akh¿nd P¿th or the closing of prayers from the Sr¿ Gur¿ Granth S¿hib J¿. This prayer is used to invoke a sentiment of dispassion within both the reader and the listener to detach from this world and focus upon the name of God.
