Autorenporträt

Kamil Bouka was born in Prague 1965 in Czechoslovakia during the height of communism. He compensated for the unfreedom of the regime by spending his time in nature. As a result of his father speaking out against the regime, opportunities for his education were restricted. After high school, when newer technologies were introduced, Kamil seized the opportunity to self-study computer programming. Following the collapse of communism, Kamil continued his involvement in the IT field and went on to build a highly-successful software company. He was first introduced to Bitcoin in 2018, and two years later began focusing on education, community affairs, and advocacy for sensible cryptocurrency legislation. In 2023, Kamil sold his company to pursue his passion for Bitcoin. He is convinced that Bitcoin represents a revolution that can change the world. Writing The Big Book about Bitcoin is the "proof of work" of his efforts to be useful to others and share his wealth of knowledge and experience. His respected status on the crypto scene as a visionary and innovator allows him to serve as a teacher and guide for those who want to discover the world of bitcoin and digital currencies.
