Karen Butier Basiulis has been writing since childhood, coming back to poetry after retiring from a career in contracts and project management. Her poetry has appeared in literary magazines and her essays have appeared in professional journals and newspapers. She lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband of over 30 years and two semi-feral cats.
