Autorenporträt
Karima Maryam McKenzie, is a trained and certified educator of 19 years, holding several roles from math teacher to athletic director and now vice principal. Over a decade, she's made a significant impact as a math teacher, coach, and administrator, touching the lives of thousands of children. Despite facing life-threatening illnesses throughout her career, Karima's dedication to wellness led her to establish Touch and Agree Tendaji (T&AT) Solutions, focusing on community health. Inspired by her own lack of mentorship in adolescence, she authored "Temples Are Sacred and So Are You," a guide for girls navigating their teenage years and young women in their college years. The organization addresses the holistic well-being of socially active but energetically unprotected girls, aiming to improve emotional intelligence and instill healthy boundaries. Through Temples Are Sacred, Karima strives to foster self-awareness, promote physical activity, teach meditation techniques, and enhance the holistic development of girls and young women, guiding them towards self-confidence and the realization of their core values. Her heartfelt mission is to emphasize the sacredness and potential within every girl, fostering their journey towards becoming the best version of themselves.
