The synthesis of intermediate compounds (ligands) and target compounds (metal complexes) has been successfully achieved, identified and characterized by measuring their melting points, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, elemental microanalysis,1H - Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and 13C -Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. The preliminary study of antimicrobial activity was done on four various strains of bacteria and two strains of fungi. It was recorded that significant antibacterial activity of synthesized compounds against gram positive and gram negative bacteria particularly streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and klebsiella pneumonia opposite the parent compound nalidixic acid. The preliminary study of antifungal activity of the synthesized compounds revealed significant activity against Candida Albicans compared with activity Candida Tropicalis.
