This book is used as an instruction manual for new and current Public Safety Divers. I am the Founder and CEO of Public Safety Specialists, a company created for the Professional Development of Public Safety Providers including Police Officers, Fire Fighters, EMS and Health Care Professionals. I have articles published in national and online magazines including PoliceOne.com and EMSOne.com. I am a former Chief of Police, SWAT Operator and SWAT medic. I currently serve as a Wood County WV, Reserve Deputy and Dive Team Instructor. I teach police classes from basic patrol to FTO, and SWAT, and am an ASP Baton and Cuffing Instructor. I am a Nationally Registered Paramedic, and hold Ohio and West Virginia State Certifications including WV C3-IFT. I teach BLS, ACLS, PALS and Tactical EMS. I have been a Volunteer Fire Fighter for over 10 years and am Hazardous Materials Technician. I volunteer hundreds of hours each year with the Lubeck, WV Volunteer Fire Department. I became a PADI Course Director in 1999 and teach over 25 specialties at the Instructor Trainer level, and started my diving career as a Public Safety Diver in 1993.
