Far too many people struggle with restrictions imposed on their lives in the form of rules, regulations by authorities or religion to the extent of causing confusion, upset, anger, hate and many others. The irony of it all is that such resentful maneuvers not only affect those targeted, but the schemers of such also get caught up in the process. The false teachers of the law in Galatia were teaching salvation by works, by telling these believers that they had to keep all kinds of ceremonies including circumcision which was the initial rite in the Jewish religion. However, Paul vehemently debunked these teachings by pointing out that no observance of such laws could bring them salvation. Salvation only comes by believing on Jesus Christ and its only Him who brings true freedom. I know many people want to do something to be saved, just like the Philippian Jailer asked, "what must I do to be saved"? The good news is this "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved" (Acts 16:31). Liberty is freedom from the Mosaic law system, but subject to the "law of Christ" (1 Corinthians 9:20-21). "Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed" (John 8:36)
