Couples, especially newlyweds, are often discouraged when faced with the unexpected challenges of normal married life. Statistics prove that the divorce rate among Christians is just as high as it is for non-Christians. The issue of discouragement and disappointment is often amplified among Christians because of the notions that "in Christ" things should be easier and as a Christians we should be perfect in love. The truth is that success in marriage happens only through constant sacrifice of each persons self will in order to compromise for the benefit of the marriage. It's also true that every marriage is the union of two very flawed individuals but this story isn't told often enough in Christian circles. Dying to Become One tells that story. It's the captivating real tale of two flawed people who made every mistake possible and yet, being willing to sacrifice their self wills and apply God's wisdom built a marriage that serves as a beacon of hope for countless other couples. Dying to Become provides a transparent look inside the marriage of Life Coach Kennisha Moffett and her husband Minister Herb Moffett. It is often hilarious but always shockingly honest as it takes the reader on a journey that proves to be challenging for anyone seeking to love his or her spouse sacrificially according to the Word of God. Kennisha shares their pitfalls, mistakes, and lessons learned as they follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in building their passion filled union. The reader will gain wisdom, encouragement, and they keys to becoming one. This book is written in a popular, conversational style. It's easily accessible to those who don't know much about the Bible, yet the book's message is solidly evangelical, theologically accurate, and culturally informed. Each chapter includes contemporary real-life stories, insights, and engages the reader with thought provoking questions.
