Autorenporträt

Kentry Jn Pierre is Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries in St. Lucia, Caribbean. Before that, he was Executive Director at the Folk Research Centre. He comes from an education, cultural and trade union background and has worked actively in all three communities in many capacities. He is passionate about alternative and research education, lifelong learning, Creole language and culture, decolonising methodologies and cricket. He previously published a collection of short stories, Twa Ti Kont Kwéyòl written in kwéyòl. His novella Another Chorus, Another Verse for which he was awarded the M&C Fine Arts Prize for Literature in 1988 was serialised in the Voice Newspaper of St. Lucia.
