Kerstin and her son Israel live in Jamaica, where she works in the film industry. Kerstin has written children's scripts that have been filmed and aired on television and shown in cinemas around the Caribbean. Having made a documentary on a legendary dog in Treasure Beach, Kerstin and Israel decided to write a fictional children's story based on the real dog, Peanut.
