Autorenporträt
"Khachab Dorji is a teacher by profession who has taken up poetry as his passion since May 2021. He was born on August 19th, 1978 in a remote south-eastern part of Bhutan called Nganglam, Pemagatshel. After receiving selfless support from his beloved parents, he graduated his sophomore year in 1999 and pursued a Bachelor of Education. He graduated in 2004 as a primary school teacher, taking English as his elective. He now serves at Martshala Primary School as Vice Principal in Samdrup Jongkhar, one of the south-eastern districts of the kingdom.He has been more of a teacher than an administrator, choosing English as his subject of prioritisation for almost 18 years of his service. He has been teaching poetry but has not spent much time writing his own. In May 2021, he got in as a member of Poetry Planet, one of the inspirational poetry platforms on Facebook. He planted the seed of his poetic passion, crafting poems of varied subjects, earning accolades of appreciation and getting his poems and quotes published in the anthology of that planet.He currently has over 600 poems on various subjects and participates in various poetry forums on Facebook. His experience as a teacher and as a matured individual brought up in a rustic village setting enables him to write poems in a myriad of thematic circumstances."
