This study was carried out to investigate the protective effects of the flavonoids extracted from parsley leaves (Petroselinum sativum). It was aimed at studying the role of apigenin on cardiohepatic dysfunction in rats exposed to CdCl2 in drinking water. Exposure to CdCl2 caused dyslipidemia, elevation in serum MDA and suppression in GSH level with elevation of ALT and AST activities. Such damage were ameliorated by apigenin.
