Nepal is land locked country between two giant countries India and China and it is rich in both Hydro and Solar potential but do not have proven fossil fuel reserves for commercial exploitation.Electricity crisis is one of the big problem that Nepal is facing since 2005 and it is being more and more chronic from that time. The utility company do not have other option than rolling black out. In the dry season Nepalese people have to face 16 hours load shedding due to energy crisis. Therefore, solar photovoltaic (PV) is an alternative backup electricity supply for the consumers and which is already in use by some of consumers. However, due to the high upfront cost of the technology having storage battery system, it is not affordable for all the users.
