Autorenporträt

Kinsley Harris was born in Illinois where she lived until she was in the seventh grade and her mother's employer transferred her to Texas. Initially unhappy about the move, it led to her meeting her husband, Johnnie, in high school; the two later married and continue to live in Texas.
Her love of all things weird, scary, and supernatural was sparked while growing up the two-story house where she lived in Illinois. The house sat right against a small, wooded area, had a dark, dank unfinished basement and attic. There was also a small brick building, with a small gravel parking area and one tall, solitary lamp post. It had a backdrop of trees and behind the trees was a cornfield. In the daytime, her home, and the area around it, looked picturesque but at night, it took on an eerie presence. Sometimes, she would dare herself to go into the basement at night, without cutting on any lights, or go outside in the woods (in hindsight an extremely bad idea) and stay until her imagination would get the best of her fear and send her running back to her room.
All of that would come together in short stories she'd make-up and over the years, led her to write, Wicked Charm, her debut novel. She enjoyed writing the story so much that she hadn't realized it had grown to be over 600 pages, which was way too long but proved to her that writing was her passion.
Kinsley's other passions are letting episodes of her favorite shows stack up, to binge watch them, shopping online, reading and currently looking for a puppy to provide a home. She is also in the early stages of the follow-up to Wicked Charm.
