Dr. Sue Kruske is a retired small animal veterinarian and first time author. She and her husband, Tom, who is also a veterinarian, live in a small midwestern city with their dog and 2 cats, one of whom is Niles. They have 2 young adult daughters who are both wonderful pet parents of adopted rescue cats. Dr. Sue enjoys traveling, hiking and gardening along with caring for creatures of all kinds including raising Monarch butterflies. Dr. Sue volunteers in a second grade classroom weekly during reading and writing class and was inspired to write this story after observing the joy and enthusiasm of the children, who especially love animal stories.
