Kristian Macaron (she/her/ella), resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a land full of treasures. Her writing is inspired by this colorful landscape and explores tales that derive from connections to her Hispanic/Lebanese-American heritage, but also her love for cryptids, portals, geology, and time travel. Kristian received an MFA in Creative Writing Fiction from Emerson College (2012) and a BA from University of New Mexico (2010). Her full-length poetry collection Recipe for Time Travel in Case We Lose Each Other is forthcoming from Game Over Books Publications in February 2022. Her poetry chapbook Storm, released in 2015 from Swimming with Elephants Publications. Other prose and poetry publications can be found in Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, The Normal School, The Night Heron Barks, The Mantle Poetry, Uncanny Magazine, Luna Luna Magazine, Solstice Literary Magazine, Gargoyle Magazine, and others. She is a co-founding editor of the literary journal, Manzano Mountain Review, a member of Theater-in-the-Making, and works at the University of New Mexico.
