Non-chemical methods of insects control assume greater importance and they are preferable to fumigation or insecticide applications because of the lack of chemical residues, safety to applicators and no or minimal likelihood of the development of insect resistance. Recent inventions on insect egg remover device (Indian patent 198434) and a trap for monitoring stored grain (Indian Patent Application Number 1773/CHE/2008, dt 24.7.2008) insects in bag stacks in the warehouse are of great significant contribution toward eco-friendly way of managing stored grain insects. Recent development of commercial models of stack probe trap and egg remover devices made it necessary to investigate thoroughly the effect of these commercial models of insect egg remover device on the removal of adults as well as crushing eggs and the non baited stack probe trap for detection, validation and distribution of stored grain insects in bag stacks, so that they can directly be transferred to the end users.
