In their professions, teachers are confronted with numerous challenges such as work stress, heavy workload, student misbehavior, or dissatisfying social relationships. These and various other obstacles burden teachers and complicate their process of organizational socialization which may have an impact on teacher burnout. This study deals with determining EFL teachers' burnout and organizational socialization levels, and the relationship between these two variables. Richmond, Wrench and Gorham's (2001) Teacher Burnout Scale and Erdogan's (2012) Organizational Socialization Scale were applied to find out what the causes of teacher burnout and unsuccessful organizational socialization are. To gain deeper insights and delve into the roots of teacher burnout and problematic organizational socialization, semi-structured interviews were conducted. Results revealed that EFL teachers who are employed in Turkey have a low level of burnout, whereas they show a high level of organizational socialization. A moderate negative correlation between teacher burnout and organizational socialization was detected.
